Our sweet beautiful boy turns 1 today! It’s hard to believe that 1 day before his birth Michelle and I were simply a couple and the next day we were a family. I can not express how profound and blessed an experience it is to be a parent. I always thought I knew what it was about before he was born but there is simply no way I could have guessed how significantly my life would change for the better. Every day I pause and think about my family and how lucky I am, I am perpetually smiling on the inside.

Alexander Amisano - Newborn Alexander - 11 Months

Alexander has been on the verge of crawling for the past few weeks. Well, this past Monday (August 9th) he officially started to crawl. Now we are in the mode of finding out exactly what he can get to and trying to make the house “baby safe”. The best part is seeing how happy he is and his non-stop laughing when he is exploring his surroundings. I was lucky enough to capture his first time crawling on video and will post it up here when I get the chance. I don’t think this stage is going to last long though, he is already trying to figure out how to stand up! 8-O

This past Saturday (June 13th) was my cousin Sandy’s bridal shower. Since she and most of her family live out of state, and the party was local, I was allowed to attend with Michelle and Alexander. The men that did attend ended up watching the Mets vs. Yankee game while the festivities were taking place in the back yard of Sandy’s Aunt’s house in Merrick. Here are some pictures from the day:

We had a great time at Aunt Geraldine’s surprise 50th Birthday party thrown by my Uncle Tony on June 7th. It was held at their friend Linda’s house in Amityville on the South Shore of Long Island.

Happy Easter everyone! We are heading to my in-laws today for a late dinner. Before that we are going to the cemetary and then to visit Michelle’s Grandma Sophie with the baby.

All, I have uploaded a bunch of photos from the past few months. These are only a small portion of what still need to process but I need to find more time in the day, lol.

Michelle heads back to work today and so begins my responsibility of taking care of Alexander while working from home. So far today has went pretty smooth although he seems to be eating more often then usual and therefore not sleeping as much as I would like, lol. This will definitely be a challenge for me as I function better when my day is consistent. It’s just a matter of both Alexander and I adjusting to the new schedule.

All, I have uploaded a lot of new pictures of Alexander and added them to the Gallery.

Mom and Baby are doing great, and I head back to work next Tuesday (12/9/2008).

After a long wait, Baby Alexander is finally here!

  • 8 Pounds, 14 ounces
  • 21 inches long

Michelle and Baby are both doing amazingly well. Here are some pictures with more info to come later on.

Well, here we are, 2 days past the November 19th Due Date and still no baby. Michelle is doing really well but we are both anxious to meet the little one.

We scheduled an induction for next week. The plan is for Michelle to be admitted on Monday evening to start her on Cervidil. Then Tuesday morning she will be given Pitocin to induce labor. If all goes well we will have the baby sometime on Tuesday (11/25).

Until then, we are just hanging out at home and trying to keep warm.
